Benvenuto a DOC'S!

Roberto and Paulette Pizzo run this cozy little trattoria.  This has been a dream come true for Roberto for several reasons.  Most importantly for its location over looking Lake Waramaug, where this couple had their first date and went on to wed at The Inn on Lake Waramaug in 1997.  

Roberto moved from Sicily in 1995 and comes from a family with restaurant background.  He worked with his father, Giuseppe, since he was 16 years old, and has always had a passion for food, and enticing the public with his creativity.  This establishment was opened in July 1999.  Seeking success, with local clientele and faithful weekenders, DOC'S offers quality, quantity and excellent service for in house and carry out business.  Reservations are strongly recommended based on success and size; however, they are very accomodating if seating is available.  Also, they are willing to make changes to dishes if necessary to please personal needs or tastes.  

As you see, the menu is very traditional, but special.  Pastas are al dente; the seafood is fresh and additions are made daily.  What does Roberto recommend for Italian style dinner?  Nice bottle of red wine (your choice) accompanied by San Pellegrino mineral water with a slice of lemon, Pugliese country bread with roasted garlic and olive oil to dip.  

This just to start, (house salad offered with all dinners) share mussels marinara and calamari fritti with insalata di casa; penne amatriciana for two followed by veal compagnola or shrimp scampi.  

Cap everything off with an espresso and homemade biscotti.  Buon Appetito!
