DOCʼS had been synonymous with Lake Waramaug in New Preston, CT for the
past 15-20 years. Roberto and Paulette Pizzo purchased the small lakeside restaurant
in 1999, creating the Trattoria. After 9 years of tremendous success and loyal patrons,
this small trattoria was in search of a bigger home. In April 2008, DOCʼS moved into
itʼs new home at 9 Maple Street, down the road in Kent.
The tradition of DOCʼS Trattoria is rooted in Robertoʼs childhood in Sicily, where
he grew up surrounded by family that embodied the Italian eaterie. That tradition
has been broughtto DOCʼS where Italian meals are served with a warm, family feel,
true to itʼs name, Trattoria.
The menu reflects a modern flair on old classics. Robertoʼs passion is showcased with
a presentation of well executed dishes such as zuppa di pesce, vitello salt in bocca and
penne vessuviana. Pizza is made to perfection in our Brick Oven. Our select desserts,
which are made on premises, carry on our commitment to offering authentic Italian fare.
The wine list is extensive, yet well matched to the cuisine.
